A Chance to Have a Private Garden Tour in Aid of Asks for Masks
Bid for a chance to tour one of Marian Boswall’s award winning gardens in Kent in support of charity raising funds for PPE for healthcare workers.
We are delighted to be supporting Asksformasks, an initiative started by Katie Sanderson, a doctor and member of the Riverford family, who is involved in campaigning on various issues around conditions for medical and care staff under COVID-19. With the continuing challenge of getting adequate PPE to all corners of the care system, she has enlisted the support of Sue Perkins and many others (including her sisters) to create an online auction of many wonderful pledges, ranging from a year’s worth of Riverford vegboxes to behind-the-scenes experiences of the Tate, Peston on ITN, dinner with Sue Perkins and Giles Coren, tickets, artworks, holidays, food, drink, cosmetics, and now a private tour with Marian Boswall at one of her award winning gardens in Kent.
Marian will give you a personal private tour around this beautiful garden and describe how she designs using principles of listening to the land and planting for sustainable long term growth as well as visual impact through the seasons. She will answer questions and share planting ideas, and join you and Robyn, the owner, for a home prepared lunch in the garden. This garden has been featured on Gardeners’ World, in Gardens Illustrated, House and Garden, Homes and Gardens and the Telegraph.
You can see the prizes and bid from today at www.asksformasks.co.uk. Where you can also see details of the team, where the money will go, and how it all works. The money is destined to two very effective organisations run entirely by volunteers.
