JOE WHITE
MA (Cantab), MSc Human Geography, MA Landscape Architecture (Distinction)
Joe has a Masters in Landscape Architecture from the University of East London, a Masters in Geography from the University of Bristol and a first class Bachelors in Geography from the University of Cambridge. Prior to joining MBLA he worked at Gustafson Porter + Bowman and Ireland Albrecht Landscape Architects. Before retraining in landscape architecture he worked in finance at Deloitte and KPMG, and studied management at the Cambridge Judge Business School.
Joe received a scholarship to study landscape architecture at the University of East London, where he was awarded the Masters Student Prize and the Landscape Essay Prize. His thesis, entitled ‘Celtic Rainforests: How to Build a Rainforest in Cornwall’, explored the restoration of Britain’s temperate rainforests.
Joe is a keen artist, guitarist and gardener, and enjoys running, hiking and exploring new landscapes. He has a Certificate in Horticulture from the London School of Horticulture and served as a trustee of Wells & Mendip Museum for several years. He still supports the museum as a volunteer.
